Program Philosophy

The purpose of Shepherd's Heart Daycare is to provide a stimulating, Christian environment that is safe and nurturing.

The program is designed to encourage the children's cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language development and the Christian beliefs during the hours when parents are at work, in school or otherwise engaged. Their development in growth is expanded by a variety of activities the children are offered through out the day. This includes for each child the opportunities to create, explore the environment, learn problem solving and personal interaction skills and to learn concepts through first hand experiences. Children develop a positive self concept through a balance of self and teacher directed activities. This program accepts children ages 3 (toilet trained) thru 8th grade without discrimination on basis of race, religion or handicaps. Children with handicaps are admitted if they may be served with reasonable accommodations.

Shepherd's Heart Daycare staff are positive role models and provide care to nurture and encourage all the children's individual needs for growth. This program respects parent's beliefs and want to be partners in your child's care and education.

NO St. Pauls School, but Day Care will be Opened:

January 20th

NO St. Pauls, please let me know if you need child care, Roosevelt still has school

January 23rd

No Roosevelt, please let me know if you need child care as well. St. Paul's has school this day.

January 27th

NO St. Paul's please let me know asap about this date if you will or will NOT need child care.

General Information

Center is open Monday thru Friday from 6a.m. to 6p.m. We are closed weekends and some holidays.

We accept children ages 3 to 14 years old.

All staff have early childhood education. They are also CPR, First Aid and AED certified.

Great Location!!

We are located in St. Paul's school across the street from Roosevelt Elementary. We are able to walk students to classes at both schools and pick them up as well.

Enrollment process:

Please talk to Michelle. Fill out the enrollment forms, and pay the registration fee.

Fees

Yes, we charge fees. I'll let you know how much? Quality, affordable, Christian Day Care = Priceless!

Daily activities

Daily activities will include indoor/outdoor play, quiet activities and individual and group activities. Planned activities will provide experiences in which each child can be successful and feel good about development and participate in imaginative play. Children will have an opportunity to use a variety of art materials, manipulative and educational equipment.

Snacks & Lunch

The center provides the snacks. We also provide snack to the children who come here for the after school program. Juice is included with both snacks.

We participate in the school hot lunch program that St. Paul's School offers. There is a small fee for this. You can also choose to send a lunch for your child. Milk is provided for with either choice. During the summer we request that you bring a lunch for your child. Milk is still provided.

Due to so many demands day care is open from 8AM-11AM again! Plus we have new rates so come in and see us.

Lots of fun is going on with learning how to write their names, learn their colors, numbers, alphabet, how to hold the pencil or to use the scissors have fun doing art projects and much much more.

After school children will come into the calssroom and are welcome to a snack then they are to do homework, after that it is time to get rid of all the energy they may have:)
