Memory

Memory Work is recited on Tues., Thurs., and Fri.

3rd Grade

Tues., Feb. 7 - #28 - James 4:11 - Brothers, do not slander one another.

Thurs., Feb. 9 - 329 - 1 Peter 4:8 - Love covers over a multitude of sins.

Fri., Feb. 10 - 9th Commandment - You shall not covet your neighbor's house.  What does this mean?  We should fear and love God so that we do not scheme to get our neighbor's inheritance or house, or get it in a way which only appears right, but help and be of service to him in keeping it.
4th Grade

Tues., Feb. 7 - #20 - Matthew 10:29-30 - Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?  Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.  And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Thurs., Feb. 9 - 2nd Article - I believe in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended into hell.  The third day He rose again from the dead.  He ascened into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.  From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

Fri., Feb. 10 - What does this mean?  I believe that Jesus Christ, true God, begotten of the Father from eternity, and also true man, born of the Virgin Mary, is my Lord,

Practical Passage from Proverbs

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:8-10
