Dear Parents

Dear Parents,

The 2nd quarter has been completed.  The end of the quarter was last Thursday, and remember there is no school on Friday.  Report cards come out this week.  You may pick up your child’s report card during scheduled conference times, Thursday evening Jan 26th from 6-8 pm or on Friday Jan. 27th from 9 am to noon.  No appointment is necessary.  If you would like a conference with me about your child’s progress, I will be happy to talk with anyone as they arrive.  I don’t think anyone will have to wait too long.

The math lesson for the next few weeks will practice measurement and counting by tens and then count on.  We also start practicing writing last names.  Extra practice at home would be helpful.

The snow has finally arrived.  Please make sure your child is properly dressed each day.  It is a good idea to take wet snow clothes home each day rather leave them in lockers.  Another helpful tip is to send a separate snow bag for the wet snow clothes and an extra pair of mittens and socks.

I am also sending home the words for the song we will sing at Mr. Calvary on February 5th.  The children know the tune.  You can help them practice with the words.

Thanks,

Mrs. Benedict.

Calendar Updates: Thursday, February 2nd: Supplies for an up coming art project. Please send a Pringles Chip can and a plain white tube sock for each child.Friday, February 3rd - pizza orders are due. I have also scheduled two more field trips for Friday, February 10th to Janesville Ice Arena, and Friday, February 24th to Cold Stone Creamery. These are both noon dismissal day. Mark them on your calendar.
Monday, February 27th - NO SCHOOL
