2nd Quarter Momory:2009
Tues. Nov. 3          "Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth." Isaiah 42:10
Thrus. Nov. 5          No School
Tues. Nov. 10         Jesus, you're my shepherd, Im your little lamb.
                                  Use my life to serve you in every way you can.
Thurs. Nov 12         Use my voice to praise you, to speak of God each day.
                                  When I'm playing with my friends and when I kneel to pray.
Tues. Nov.17         Use all of me, dear Jesus, in every way you can-
                                  My heart, my soul, my love, my life; for I'm your little lamb.
Thrus. Nov. 19       O come, little children, O came one and all,
                                   To Bethlehem haste to the manger so small,
                                 God's Son for a gift has been sent you this night
                                    To be your redeemer, your joy and delight.
Tues. Nov. 24         He's born in a stable for you and for me,
                                  Draw near by the bright gleaming Star-light to see,
                                   I swaddling clothers lying so meek and so mild,
                                  And purer than angels the heavenly child.
Thurs. Nov. 26        Thanksgiving
Tues. Dec. 1           Away in a manger no crib for a bed,
                                  The Little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head.
                                 The stars in the sky looked down where He lay.
                                   The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
Thurs. Dec. 3         The cattle are lowing the baby awakes.
                                 But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes.
                                 I love Thee Lord Jesus,Look down from the sky
                                 And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.
Tues. Dec. 8         Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stay
                                Close by me forever and love me, I pray.
                               Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
                               And take us to heaven to live with The there.
Thurs. Dec. 10     What child is this, who, laid to rest, on Mary's lap is sleeping?
                                 Whom angles greet with anthems sweet
                               While shepherds watch are keeping?
                               This, this, is Christ the king, whom shepherds guard and angels sing;
                               Haste, haste to bring Him laud, The babe, the son of Mary!
  Tues. Dec. 15    So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh; Come, peasant, king to own Him.
                                The king of kings salvation brings' Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
                                 Raise, raise the song on high, The virgin sings lullaby;
                                Joy, joy for Christ is born, The babe, the son of Mary!
Thurs. Dec. 17     Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King;
                                 Let every heart prepare Him room, And heav'n and nature sing.
                                 And heaven and nature sing, And heav'n and heav' and nature sing.

Dear parents,

We are finished with end-of-the-quarter testing and are now resuming phonics lessons.  This week the sounds will be oo, y, and x.  Next week will have ch, sh, th, qu, and ou.  We have also introduced some basic sight words.  These are (the, that, is I a, and). In math we have been practicing numeral writing and patterns.

With conferences this week we will not have show'n tell.  Next friday, Nov. 13 they may bring a Thanksgiving decoration.

Most of you are doing well with book reports but there are a few who did not complete October reports,  We have now begun November reports.  This month is a short month with the Thanksgiving holiday.  You will have until Mon. Nov. 30 to turn in  6 reports.

Thank you for turning in your conference slips.  Please try to be prompt so we can stay on schedule.  The first quarter has gone by so fast.  We're having a wonderful year so far!.
